Franklin is a total lovebug who got a second chance at life when one of our volunteers rescued him. He was stuck in the middle of a crowded road by Ybor city, with cars swerving in an attempt not to run over him. From day one this guy has been so grateful that he was saved...he is sweet, cuddly, and unbelievably loving. Franklin wants nothing more than to sit around all day purring and nuzzling you! 

Although like many teenage boys he’s not a huge fan of being picked up, Franklin is a huge lapcat and LOVES to have his tummy rubbed. He will communicate with you using a series of little chirps and meows, and lets you know when he’s not getting enough attention! Loud noises and quick movements tend to make Franklin nervous, probably because of his background, so he would do best in a home without small children. Our volunteers see him being a perfect fit for anyone who wants a laid-back lapcat and has plenty of time to snuggle! His foster brother, Flynn, is also part of our FTA program and would make a great companion if you’re looking for a pair of sweethearts.
